Anectodal Evidence Of A Shift In Las Vegas Real Estate Market Conditions
November 5th, 2007 Categories: Francisco Park Two (Mid Mod), Las Vegas Real Estate News, Market Conditions, Paradise Palms, Southridge
The doom and gloom headlines and the up and down craziness of the stock market aside, we’re seeing definite signs of life in the market.
Bruce scored a great deal on a Paradise Palms Pool Home, Maribeth found the cutest little mid mod in Fran Park. Marissa grabbed up our great listing on Hassett. Ben scored a great little insider deal I put together from a lady over on 17th street. We’re opening escrow today on 1701 15th Street.
Terri, my favorite escrow officer at Title One opened twice as many purchase escrows in October as she did in September.
I had to wait 4 days to get an appointment with Steve, my favorite vintage home inspector. All summer, I could get an appointment with him the next day with no problem at all.
Paul, at Farmers Insurance has seen a big pick up in orders for new policies.
My sign guy took DOWN more signs in October than he put up.
We won’t get real October numbers from NAR and GLVAR till later in November, but everyone in the industry that I’m talking to were busier in October than they were in September and certainly busier than they were all summer.
November has always been a good month with buyers wanting to “get in before the holidays”. I’ve got 3 buyers I’m working with who are likely to buy this month, and of course dozens and dozens who are willing, but not convinced it’s time yet. There’s another 30 or so who want to buy in Vintage Vegas “as soon as their current house sells”.
