Glen Heather Homes for Sale

Glen Heather Estates is a small vintage Las Vegas neighborhood whose development spans an important period of the city’s postwar growth. The first Glen Heather subdivision was platted in 1954, followed by additional phases in 1955, 1961 and 1962, with construction continuing into 1963. Architectural records preserved by UNLV Special Collections document architect Elmo C. Bruner’s work in Glen Heather, including residential plans from the 1950s, while the neighborhood’s final phase was developed by Don Langson’s Story Book Homes. The result is an interesting mix of Mid-Century Modern and Ranch-style homes rather than a neighborhood built all at once from a single collection of plans.

Located near Rancho Drive and Oakey Boulevard, Glen Heather is especially recognizable for its large residential lots and mature landscaping, including towering evergreens, olive trees and palms that have grown along with the neighborhood for more than 70 years. Its location places Glen Heather near other well-known Vintage Vegas neighborhoods including McNeil and the Scotch 80s.
