Las Verdes Heights Homes for Sale

Las Verdes Heights is a vintage Las Vegas neighborhood developed in multiple phases beginning in the late 1950s and continuing through the 1960s. Architectural records preserved by UNLV Special Collections include original Las Verdes Heights residential drawings from 1958 and 1959, including plans for ranch-style homes that UNLV identifies with the Mid-Century Modernist period. The neighborhood continued to expand through a series of Las Verdes Heights subdivisions, resulting in a varied collection of primarily single-family homes rather than one development built all at once.

Located west of the Las Vegas Strip, Las Verdes Heights is generally bounded by Oakey Boulevard to the north, Arville Street to the west, Valley View Boulevard to the east and San Joaquin Avenue to the south. Its winding interior streets, many with Spanish-inspired names, distinguish the neighborhood from the surrounding street grid. Homes dating from several different phases of Las Vegas’ mid-century growth can be found throughout the neighborhood.
