*UPDATE* MOVED TO DOWNTOWN COCKTAIL ROOM! Save The Huntridge Theatre Meeting Planned For March 8th, 5pm

THE MEETING WILL TAKE PLACE AT DOWNTOWN COCKTAIL ROOM, 111 S. LAS VEGAS BLVD. JUST SOUTH OF FREMONT ST. EVERYTHING ELSE REMAINS UNCHANGED

Josh Geidel, one of our Huntridge Neighbors seems to have grabbed the bull by the horns and is heading up the Save The Huntridge Committee. He’s called for a meeting, and we know there’s a whole lot of you out there that have never gotten involved with anything. As you’ll see i this post and the next one, there’s plenty of need for new bodies and voices. Josh emailed us this:

Hello all,

Well, I have been pleasantly surprised at all the momentum we have gathered thus far in our mounting-effort to Save the Huntridge!
It is a true testament to the solidarity and determination of Las Vegas’ residents to stand up for what they believe in
and mold a brighter future for all.

We are off to a great start… lets be sure we keep this momentum building!

I would like to invite us all to gather at my residence for a meeting of the minds.
At this meeting we will:
  *  Strategize plans for an organized preservation effort
   *  Group think positive alternatives for both short and long-term uses
    *  Pool resources, connections, perspectives and opinions
     *  Celebrate the significance that the Huntridge symbolizes to us all
      *  Meet other folks who share this common bond
**  We will also be “passing the hat” to gather funds for signs, posters, etc
So, please bring a couple of bucks if you have them to contribute.

We will be meeting on:
Saturday, March 8th, at 5:00pm
1200 Franklin Ave
The house is at the intersection of Franklin and Maryland.
The one with the “Huntridge” mural on it.

Refreshments, Pizza and other treats will be served.
Additionally, I encourage everyone to bring something to share if they like… your favorite beverage or dish or what have you… this is welcomed but not “mandatory”.

Feel free to invite anyone and everyone you know who shares our interest in preserving one of the most significant pieces of Vintage Las Vegas we have left.

Looking forward to seeing everyone!
Come happy, come hungry and most of all come with your thinking caps on!

See you all on the 8th!

Josh

p.s. PLEASE extend this email invite to EVERYBODY!!!  Lets mail all our “lists”!
