It was a short and sweet First Friday for me as the 1 hour nap turned into what seems like almost an extra whole nights sleep lately. I woke up at 8pm and hit the Arts District just before 9 pm. There’s always way too much to see and do and hear in just 1 hour.
I buzzed thru the street party at Casino Center and Colorado, found the tent with the Las Vegas News Bureau’s photo exhibit, stopped to watch recording artist MAKAYLA NIKOLfor a few minutes, hit the CAC exhibit of the News Bureau’s photos, and went home and was back at the house by 10:30.
The “Vintage Point” show, curated by our friend and occasional guest blogger Brian Paco Alvarez was well worth getting up for. Paco is the curator of the Las Vegas News Bureau which is a division of the LVCVA
My favorite (and you’ll forgive my not writing down the names of the celebrities) group of photos showed a time warp transplant of the celebrities from their era into ours.
It’s showing all month in the Contempory Arts Collective Gallery at the Arts Factory. Go see it, if you missed it Friday Night.
