December 3 – Las Vegas City Council gets to vote on the Huntridge Theater Plans 1pm early in the afternoon agenda

December 4 – Classic Las Vegas takes a look at Christmas in the early days of Las Vegas. Roundtable Panel Discussion at 7 pm at the Springs Preserve. ($12 admission with discounts for kids and SP Members).

December 4 –Contemporary Arts Center

Opening reception 6–9 PM “Pressing the Limits” CAC presents four extraordinary printmakers from Sante Fe.

Also the same evening and also in the Arts Factory are New Opening receptions at Vagus, Trifecta, Cricket Studio, Peace N Art Studio, and BeauxArts Gallery among others.

Morelli_7The Junior League of holds it’s open house from 1 to 4 pm RSVP appreciated at 822–6536 It’s a free tour but donations of unwrapped children’s toys for the JL’s “Annual Charitable Children’s Holiday Bear Project”

Join the Junior Leage for guided tours of the historic 1959 Morelli House featuring a special exhibition of Mid Century holiday decorations and ornaments.

Dec. 9, 2008 –  Toys For Tots Rock Show is free with a toy donation!  For one night only under the “big top” in the Las Vegas Hilton showroom, the Monster Circus rolls into town on Tuesday, December 9 with a troupe of some of rock music’s greatest players for a one-of-a-kind rock show.  On the same stage where the King of Rock ‘n’ Roll, Elvis Presley, performed, the Monster Circus combines solid musicianship with fire-eaters, sexy dancers and other surprises all to benefit Toys for Tots.  
The all-star line up, performing powerhouse rock anthems of the 70’s, 80’s and 90’s features:

Bruce Kulick (KISS), John Corabi (Motley Crüe, Ratt), Rudy Sazro (Ozzy Osbourne, Quiet Riot, Whitesnake, Dio), Tony Montana (Great White), Bobby Rock (Slaughter, Vinnie Vincent Invasion) and special guests Dee Snider of Twisted Sister, and – just added – Dave Kushner (Velvet Revolver).
Catch the Monster Circus at the Las Vegas Hilton Showroom on Tuesday, December 9.  Doors open at 5 p.m. and the show starts at 6:30 p.m. In conjunction with Rockstar Energy Drink and the National Guard, admission is free (21 and over, please) and everyone is encouraged to donate an unwrapped toy for the Toys for Tots organization.
