Diane Bush, one of our all time favorites, is holding a Mid Century Modern Sale and Fundraiser for the CAC this coming weekend at her extremely cool home near Trop and Sandhill.
On December 13 and 14, I am inviting you to a tour of my Mid-Century interior and my art collection to benefit the Contemporary Arts Center. Your entrance fee will be a donation of your choice, and there will be Mid-Century items for sale. 25% OF ALL SALES WILL BENEFIT THE CAC. Items will include home furnishings, vintage costume jewelry, vintage clothing, hand-made greeting cards and Vegas theme gifts. Bring cash and your checkbook! No plastic.
The tour rooms are available for a sneak peek on-line at www.atomicvegas.us Hours are Saturday, 11am-5pm, and on Sunday from noon-3pm. You can map quest me at 3750 Grandview Place, Las Vegas, 89120. 795-1722. Wine and nibbles will be served while they last ! Call me with any questions or Mid-Century needs. I trade for Franciscan Starburst dinnerware! …and spread the word!
Sunday, December 14th. 2pm at the home of Marge Rea.
Special guest historian Mark Hall Patton from the Clark County Museum will be discussing his project to determine the origins of the street names of Vintage Vegas (no not the “tumbling turkey” names of the suburbs which are created by throwing words into a hat and pulling them out randomly), but names like Cambell, and Griffith and Bracken, and Lauri, and Gilmore and Pinto and Bannie.
We’ve been asked not to blog the address, so if you’d like to attend, just contact me, or Lynn Zook.
