I’m going to be doing the convention thing for the next few days. BlogWorld is in town at the convention center. Last night I stopped at the opening get together for Real Estate Bloggers at Gordon Birsch. I got to meet some of my favorites in person. Teresa Boardman, who’s considered to be the grande dame of RE bloggers was there.
One of the Mortgage Blogs that I read regularly is Scott Carpenter’s Lenderama. Another blog I subscribe to is DenMod which is about Mid Century Modern Architecture and Real Estate in Denver. What I didn’t realize until last night is that Scott is behind both of them. He’s also the person who put together the Real Estate segment of the BlogWorld Convention which is aptly named REBlogWorld.
I know all of that doesn’t mean much to any of you, but the social networking that I do with other real estate agents around the country helps a lot in increasing the awareness of Vintage Vegas. What did surprise me was that about 10 of the bloggers at the party recognized me from having read VeryVintageVegas. I found out that one of the big blog trainers shows VVV to his students as an example of a great blog. I’m still blushing.
As I said the other day, we might be a little light in the number of posts for the next few days, since I’m going to pretend I’m out of town.
Here’s a riddle:
Q: What was the pirate’s favorite kind of music?
A: Arrrrr and B!
Yes, it’s Talk Like A Pirate Day once again. If you’ve got any talk like a pirate jokes you want to share, just leave them in the comments.
